This is Moods Studio

Moods Studio builds software at the intersection of AI, blockchain, and Web3. We are a dev agency and product studio based in Amsterdam, shipping everything from DeFi infrastructure and tokenization platforms to AI-driven applications and enterprise tools. Our clients range from institutional banks and DAOs to early-stage startups with ambitious technical roadmaps. For our team, we create an environment where ownership is real and impact is immediate. We are a small, fast-moving group that values craftsmanship over process and results over titles. Together, we build products that solve hard problems across industries where technology is reshaping the rules.

Why you should join the Moods AI team

At Moods Studio, the AI team is at the core of our most ambitious projects. From drug repurposing pipelines built on graph neural networks to LLM-powered agents and production AI tooling, our work spans research and real-world deployment. Being part of this team means working on applied AI problems with short feedback loops between idea and shipped product. We are looking for a hands-on AI Specialist to join our team in Amsterdam or remotely. The ideal candidate is someone who reads research papers for fun, writes clean Python, and wants to see their models running in production, not just in notebooks. You are excited to work across domains and comfortable switching between training a GNN and wiring up an API endpoint.

AI Specialist

Our AI Specialists are expected to operate with high autonomy and take ownership of entire features from research to deployment. You will work directly with the founders and senior developers, with a flat hierarchy and real influence on technical decisions. In this role, you will build models, ship code, and contribute to the direction of our AI products.

What you'll do

Model development: Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for active client projects, including graph neural networks, classification systems, and LLM-based pipelines.

Research implementation: Read and implement architectures from recent papers, adapting them to production constraints and real-world datasets.

AI integration: Build and maintain AI pipelines end-to-end, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model serving, and monitoring.

LLM and agent work: Integrate LLMs and AI agents into web applications and backend services, including prompt engineering and tool orchestration.

Infrastructure: Contribute to internal AI tooling, experiment tracking, and deployment workflows.

Who you are

You write solid, testable Python and are comfortable with PyTorch (custom training loops, not just tutorials).

You can read a research paper and turn it into working code.

You have experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and API-based AI integration.

You are familiar with vibe coding workflows and AI-assisted development tools.

You understand AI infrastructure concepts: model serving, vector databases, embeddings.

You are comfortable working with APIs and integrating third-party AI services.

Nice to have

Background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or similar quantitative fields.

Experience with knowledge graphs or graph databases (Neo4j, NetworkX).

Familiarity with graph neural networks and message-passing architectures.

Exposure to biological databases (DrugBank, PDB, or similar).

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion

Our best work comes from diverse perspectives. The technical and creative challenges we face are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to help us solve them. No matter who you are or where you come from, we welcome you to be your true self at Moods Studio. Studies show that women and members of underrepresented communities apply for jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. If that sounds like you, we encourage you to reconsider and apply. We look forward to your application.

What's next?

We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 5 business days. Our interview process is straightforward: an intro call, a short technical assessment or portfolio review (depending on the role), and a final conversation with the team. We keep things lean and respectful of your time. Apply at https://moods.build/vacancies
