Moods Studio is a product studio and development agency based in Amsterdam, working at the intersection of AI, blockchain, and Web3. We build a broad range of software, from DeFi infrastructure and tokenization platforms to AI-driven applications, SaaS products, and mobile apps. We ship fast, we ship real products, and our frontend is where design meets the user. We work in a small, senior-led team where engineers own their work end to end. You will not be a ticket-taker. You will take designs, turn them into production interfaces, and see them go live in front of real users.
This is a junior frontend role for someone who can take a design in Figma and turn it into a fast, accessible, production-ready interface. That skill is the heart of the job. We care about the craft of translation: matching spacing, typography, states, and motion to the design with precision, then making it responsive, performant, and maintainable in code. We build primarily on Next.js, React, and Vercel, and we also ship cross-platform mobile apps in React Native. You will work across web and mobile, collaborate closely with our designers, and ship regularly. We value engineers who care about detail, who read a design and understand the intent behind it, and who take pride in interfaces that feel right. We appreciate strong AI skills and use AI tools daily, but they are not the main criterion for this role. What we value most is the ability to go from Figma to production cleanly and reliably.
Web: Next.js (App Router, React Server Components, Server Actions, SSR, SSG, ISR, and the edge runtime), React, and TypeScript in strict mode. Styling and UI: Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and Radix primitives, with a component-driven approach and shared design tokens. State and data: TanStack Query for server state, lightweight client state with Zustand or React context, and typed API layers. Backend and data services: Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Realtime, Storage) and REST or typed API integrations. Mobile: React Native with Expo and EAS Build, shipping to the App Store and Google Play. Web3, where relevant: wallet connection and on-chain reads and writes with wagmi and viem. Infrastructure: Vercel for deployments, preview environments per pull request, edge functions, and Speed Insights. Git and GitHub with pull request reviews and CI. You will not be expected to know all of this on day one. You should be strong in React and comfortable in a modern frontend stack, and ready to learn the rest with us.
Turn Figma into production: Take designs from Figma and implement them as pixel-accurate, responsive, accessible interfaces. Respect spacing, typography, component variants, interaction states, and motion, and stay faithful to the design intent.
Build with Next.js and React: Develop features using the App Router, server and client components, and server actions. Write reusable, well-typed components and keep the codebase clean and maintainable.
Ship to Vercel: Push work through preview deployments, review changes in context, and release to production. Use preview environments to collaborate and catch issues early.
Work on mobile: Contribute to our React Native and Expo apps, building shared, cross-platform interfaces and helping ship them to the app stores.
Care about performance and accessibility: Keep an eye on Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores, optimise bundles and rendering, write semantic HTML, and meet WCAG 2.2 AA where it applies.
Collaborate and integrate: Work with designers to refine implementation details and with backend developers to wire up APIs, Supabase data, and, where relevant, on-chain interactions.
Use AI well: Use AI-assisted tooling such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and v0 to move faster, and, where a product calls for it, help integrate AI features into the frontend.
You can take a Figma design and reproduce it faithfully in code, down to the details, and make it responsive across breakpoints.
You are solid in React and JavaScript or TypeScript, and you understand components, hooks, and state.
You have hands-on experience with Next.js, or you have built enough with React that you can pick it up quickly.
You write clean, readable code and you care about how an interface looks and behaves, not just whether it works.
You are comfortable with Git and a pull request workflow, and you are happy to have your work reviewed and to review others.
You are curious, you learn fast, and you take feedback well.
Nice to have
Experience shipping with Vercel and using preview deployments.
Experience with React Native or Expo and shipping a mobile app.
Familiarity with Tailwind, shadcn/ui, or Radix.
Familiarity with Supabase or another backend-as-a-service.
Exposure to Web3 frontends with wagmi or viem.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and integrating LLM APIs into a frontend.
Salary: EUR 1,500 per month as a junior, plus a performance bonus tied to shipped work and project milestones.
